BUILDING INSPECTION SERVICES

American Society of Home Inspectors

The American Society of Home Inspectors [ASHI] is a non-profit organization of professional home inspectors.
A code of ethics has been accepted by the members of ASHI which protects clients from inspectors whose primary business is not inspection and who may stand to gain from their other interests.

As new technology is developed, ASHI's continuing education program keeps its members aware of the most advanced methods and techniques to practice their profession.

ASHI membership is your assurance that your home inspector is qualified, experienced, and above all, totally impartial. Each member of ASHI subscribes to the society's strict CODE OF ETHICS which guarantees that the home buyer's rights will always be upheld.

All ASHI inspections are performed in accordance with the Society's Standards of Practice. These standards have been developed to assure the home buyer that, wherever he purchases a home in the Untied States, an ASHI inspection will cover the same basic elements. Each ASHI inspection will include a thorough evaluation of the condition of the:

  • 1. Central Heating System
  • 2. Central Cooling System
  • 3. Interior Electrical System
  • 4. Interior Plumbing System
  • 5. Roof, Rafters, Shingles, etc.
  • 6. Walls, Ceilings, Floors, Windows, Doors
  • 7. Foundation and Slab Structure
